Three of my very good friends are leaving the country for 5 months and on Tuesday we had a goodbye party event at our favourite bar. To celebrate the (depressing) happening, we invited lots of people, brought toys, fake tattoos, tattoo glitter pens, walktytalkies and someone found a Christmas tree that was invited in too. Basically, we had the best night ever.


At the end of every Tuesday night at our favourite bar, they play this sad goodbye song to let everyone know that they have to say goodbye to the beer and just head home. Usually we end up in a huge circle, all hugging each other, and singing along to the music. This time, the same thing happened, but only with our little group of people and whereas we usually let people join our circle, this time we were kicking people away as one of my friends wanted to say something. He started a speech about how amazing the night had been and about how much we love each other and are going to miss each other, which is when the first one started crying and broke the circle to hide her face into someone else's chest. That's when the next one started crying, and I couldn't really hold it in myself but I didn't want anyone to see me cry so I ran off to the toilets to cry on my own. That's where I ran into one of our others friends who thought something really bad had happened, haha! In the end everyone was crying and hugging and passing tissues around and the bartenders were pointing and laughing at the stupidity of the situation- it was all very silly.


 
In the end we all ended up (minus one, as she had an important meeting to go to*) in the same room, in the same bed, not being able to sleep, and just annoying each other until the early hours. Best goodbye party ever, except I lost my scarf, but apart from that last night was absolutely epic.
